Snow Angels Classic Girls Tournament 2023 





Team registration for the Snow Angels Classic Tournament presented by Tri County Youth Hockey

Dates: Friday 2/24/23- Sunday 2/26/23
Entry Fee: $1100/team

All team payments must be paid in full and are non-refundable.



PLAY:     Each team will play three games against the other teams registered in its division.   

               Tie games will stand during the round robin games of the tournament. 

PERIODAll games must start on time.  Two minutes will be allowed for warm-ups.      

The first two periods will be twelve minutes stop time.  The third period will be adjusted based on time left of current sheet of ice and will be running time with the last two minutes stop time.  The length of the third period will be determined by the refs in order to maximize the game time without compromising the tournament schedule.  During the last two minutes of the third period if a team maintains a three (3) or more goal advantage over the other team the clock will continue to run..  

 NOTE: Games for the division championships will be three-(3) twelve-minute Stop time periods with overtime if necessary. Overtime consists of 1 (5) minute period, 4 on 4. If needed 3 person shoot out. Lastly sudden death shoot out (all players on the bench with the exception of the goalie must shoot before reusing a player) 


MINOR--1.5 minutes, MAJOR--5 minutes, MISCONDUCT--10 minutes 

Conditions of Play:  Any player receiving three (3) penalties in a game will be ejected from that game.  There will be no stick throwing, stick banging, board kicking or profanity by players or coaches during games.  Fighting will result in an automatic ejection from the tournament.  The zero tolerance policy will be in effect throughout the tournament for all attending spectators.


The two teams in each division with the best record of wins, losses and ties will play each other in the finals to determine the champions.  Points are as follows: 

               WIN = 2 POINTS, TIE = 1 POINT, LOSS = 0 POINTS 

If two teams share equal points:

  • The first tie breaker will be head to head  
  • Then the next tie breaker is least goals allowed
  • The next tie breaker will be goals for 
  • Final tiebreaker will be the least penalized team in all three games
  • Coin toss (if absolutely necessary).   

In this tournament with 4 teams per age level (U14, U12, U10), there will be one division encompassing all teams of the same age, skill, and age level, the two teams in each division with the most points after 3 games will advance to the final championship game.


AWARDS:  Awards will be presented to both finalists in each division during an on-ice presentation immediately following the Championship game.  Spectators will NOT be allowed on the ice.
