Mite hockey is played as 4v4 on half to 2/3rds ice with intermediate goals. Games are two ~25 minute running-time halves with no off-sides, icing, or penalties (penalties are just warnings and being sent to the bench). This size appropriate, small area, free-wheeling, high touch game style is proposed as the best way to work on the ABCS of hockey for this age group - Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed.
